The ORFISH project was the result of several EU Outermost Regions (ORs) partners consortium, leaded by Guadalupe region, for sustainable fishing knowledge and practice exchange.

For its geographical features, European ORs share a series of common concerns related to the marine resources exploit – the continental shelf absence and the consequent reduced number of fishermen, the fishing economic and social dependency, the lack of productive alternatives and the geographical isolation.

This way, and to assure the fishing marine resources sustainable exploit, this one-year project worked as a common and systematized platform of knowledge, concerns and solutions share for all European UPRs.
